It's official, we will be leaving August 2nd after church to head to McAllen, Texas. Taylor, the World Gospel Mission School, where we go and volunteer, will be starting a new computer based curriculum when school opens August 20th.
They asked us to come for the year to help with the computers. We've agreed to go help for a few weeks at the start of school and then return during the year. There are two inservices before school begins to help us learn the new system they will be using. Please pray that we will be 'fast learners'!
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine we would be heading south into the heat of a Texas summer. Usually in the summer, we have headed north since neither one of us care for HOT weather. McAllen's August temps appear to be in the high 90's -EVERY day!! Do pray for us!!
We are busy getting things around for the upcoming trip.
